Enjoy a scenic train ride in our vintage caboose, explore fascinating museum exhibits, and take part in fun family photo opportunities and kids’ crafts. Bring a picnic or enjoy hot dogs and treats available for purchase. It’s a day of relaxation, discovery, and celebrating moms — a memorable experience for the whole family!

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea in the Dining Car
📅 Sunday May 11, 2025 ⌚ 1:00 – 3:30 PM
Enjoy afternoon tea, a British tradition, in our 1899-era Dining Car. Take a trip back in time and enjoy this fine dining experience aboard our beautifully restored dining car.
Traditional Afternoon Tea features a gourmet selection of fine teas followed by a tiered stand featuring English scones with fresh cream and preserve, unique finger sandwiches and delicate pastries.
Tables of two and tables of 3 are available but space is very limited.
Dietary restrictions can be accommodated – please indicate when ordering.

Join us for a magical wizarding event, The Hallow’s Express.
Experience a magical adventure like no other. Dress up in your favorite costume and hop aboard The Hallow’s Express. Then immerse yourself in the wizarding world of the RMEO station, meet faculty members, get sorted into your houses, buy a chocolate frog from the trolley witch, get your acceptance letter, brew a potion, and snap a pic going through Station 9 3/4. Be ready to fight the dark arts!

The fun doesn’t stop with the train ride. Explore our holiday station and the Museum grounds, featuring crackling fire-pits, carolers, warm refreshments, face-painting, reindeer games, vendors and more.

The Easter Eggspress
📅 Saturday, April 19 and Sunday April 20, 2025 ⌚ 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Bring the whole family for the Easter Eggspress. Enjoy a ride in one of our vintage cabooses, visit our petting zoo, pony rides and enjoy exploring our BRAND NEW CHILDREN’S S.T.E.A.M. CAR! There will be other activities including a scavenger hunt, bunny face painting, train tables, and an Easter craft.
Our rolling stock exhibits will be open such as our 1899-era Dining Car, Snow Plow, Boxcar, and Vintage Cabooses. Get up close and personal with our 1112 Steam Engine, 6591 Diesel Engine, our Cadillac Inspection CarWickham Inspection Vehicles, and our little Green Switcher.
Come out and celebrate spring at RMEO!
